Paimpol, Plounez.
AOK 7, KVA A2, KV.Gr. Pontrieux, KVU.Gr. Trieux, Po 27.

Outside the town of Paimpol, near the village of Plounez we found the remains of a railway-battery E. Batterie 532. Follow the railway track. The bunkers lay on a municipal terrain. The guard post lies at the other side of the street next to a small road.

This location consisted of four open emplacements where railway guns could be deployed. The emplacements were built at the end of a diverted track so the train could enter easily the emplacement, coming from the original track. The guns, 20,3cm had a aiming range of 360 degrees. It was the most important defence the Germans had in this part of the Atlantikwall. Its firing instructions came from a supporting fire-control bunker at the Pointe de l'Arquest.
The only bunkers that remain today are a huge ammunition bunker (dimension 22x17), an assumed machinery bunker (dimension 15x15) and a small guarding post.

Types:
1x Ammunition bunker.
1x Machinery bunker (?).
1x Guarding post.
